Tour to Kazbegi, Juta, Chaukhi Pass and Roshka
Tour to Kazbegi, Village Juta and Chaukhi pass will start in Tbilisi at your hotel at 9:00am. After you meet our guide, just hop in, our team will help you with your luggage, leave the rest up to us. The tour includes accommodation, transportation, guiding, training and Airport transfers.
Day 1 - Tour to Kazbegi and Truso gorge
We will pass through Tbilisi, head north 155 km to Kazbegi. First stop will be Jinvali Water reservoir. Second stop will be Ananuri Fortress (complex). Ananuri was a castle of the Eristavis (Dukes) of Aragvi, the complex has been on the tentative list of inclusion into the UNESCO World Heritage Site program. Third location to visit will be Gergeri Trinity Church, located on top of mountain at an elevation of 2170 meters in Kazbegi (Stepantsminda). Gergeti Trinity Church was built in the 14th century and is one of most beautiful locarions in the region. The car will start short journey from Kazbegi centre to Gergeti Trinity Church. The last location to visit on first day is village Juta, Juta is the second highest village on Europe continent. We will stay overnight here in Juta. There is possibility of camping or stay in guest houses.
Day 2 - Hike to Chaukhi pass
In Juta we will start hike towards Chaukhi pass. The hike starts early in the morning. We will have breakfast in nature. First location to reach will be lake Tina lake. After we continue the accent to Chaukhi pass. At 3338 meters we will cross the pass and descent on the other slope of the Chaukhi massif. From here you will be able to see lake beneath Chaukhi mountain massive. After difficult climbing, we will visit Abudelauri white lakes at 2800 m. we will be still down in the alpine meadows and visit Abudelauri Blue lake. A green Abudelauri lake is just in few meters. All lakes are fed by melting glaciers. from Aburelauri lakes we will go down to village Roshka. in Roshka we will get to the car that left us in Juta and drive to Tbilisi.
There is an option of horse back riding across the pass, but hiking is also required.
